i've been getting the fairytale bug again. i think it's the recent snow. last night i went out in it and remembered the quiet that only comes in winter, on a sunday, when the sky stops low and the snow softens the hard edges of new england. here is the view from my making tower, and some sites that have been keeping me company.

more of what i'm making soon..
i am working at the AIB gallery right now and this work is hanging on the walls and it is beautiful.
go to her website , and read her statement (so rare to find one well-written!) . and by the way, it actually is just charcoal and pastel on paper. it looks 3-d so noone believes it, but i tried it at home. it works.
These are some photos from my dear dear friend Rebecca's abode in Plainfield, VT. She has done such an amazing job manifesting in this life, as demonstrated in the interiors of her fairytale house....These pics along with the work of the fabulous artist and friend mati have me reeling with ideas of textiles and painting in my next three days off.....
thanks rebecca and mati!
I saw this artist's work yesterday at Fort Point Open Studios. It was one of two artists that I saw (out of many, many) that I was really marked by. I can't find anything on her when I google her, and I couldn't even find a mailing list (she was out of the room) to add my name to. But she makes phenomenal work. I took some detail pics of her paintings- they in no way compare to the real thing. If you're in Boston, go hunt her down at 300 Summer Street, Studio #72. I'll be keeping my eye out for a show by her...

Don't Forget, her name is Jennifer Amadeo-Hall.
an amazing mural at 14th and guerrero
and if i could only take a picture of my girlfriend walking to the store to find cookie dough for me in the arctic cold spell we're having- and then leaving me alone, no questions asked, to have 'my time' reserved only for wednesdays, well,if only i could take the snapshot. . .
but,
you get the idea. . .
